At least two people lost their lives and two others suffered injuries after a tree on Wednesday and a boulder fell on a tent in the upper reach of the Kund belt in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
An official told the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the incident occurred when a alpine tree and a boulder, which was disorganized by the winds, crashed on a tent that sheltered a nomadic family.
“Two family members died on the spot,” the official said.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shafi Bokar and his daughter -in -law Reshma Begum, the residents of Rajouri, who were currently living in the Kund forests.
