Two boys, aged 11 and 12, have been charged in connection with a burglary at Capel Manor Academy in west London that resulted in the death of an animal.

Two boys, aged 11 and 12, were charged with animal cruelty and burglary.

The charges relate to a break-in at Capel Manor Academy in Gunnersbury Park, West End. Londonamong which there are some animal died.

Staff said the incident occurred on February 25 and resulted in some damage to the enclosure.

The children are now due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on March 14.

In a previous statement, police said: “On Sunday, February 25, we received a report that several animals had been killed and animal enclosures damaged at Capel Manor Academy.

“Officers visited the scene and reviewed CCTV footage. Forensic examinations were also carried out.”

Police are still appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
