Two boats, four survived in Dal Lake due to strong winds, 1 is still missing

Four persons were rescued and one was still missing when two boats on Friday captured the strong winds in Dal Lake in Srinagar district of Central Kashmir.

Officials told GNS that two boats caused two boats in the dal lake. In a quick response, the Quick Response Team (QRT) State Disaster Management (SDRF) and the Fire and Emergency Department managed to save four persons. However, a person who has been identified as Tawfiq Ahmed Chopan, the son of Nikka, a resident of Jogi Lanker Rainwari, was reported to be missing.

Efforts were made to locate the missing person. However the rescue operations have been temporarily suspended due to darkness and will be resumed tomorrow with the first light of tomorrow. (GNS)
