On October 3, William Caleb Elliott, a 26-year-old teacher and coach in the school district, was arrested and booked into the Collin County Jail on charges of recording offensive scenes, the Celina Police Department announced at the time. Authorities later said Elliott was booked on a new felony charge of possessing or disseminating child pornography.

local outlet WFAA It was reported that Elliott was a sixth-grade history teacher and eighth-grade coach at Moore Middle School. He was placed on administrative leave indefinitely and later resigned, WFAA reports.

A lawsuit brought on behalf of the families of Moore Middle School students against Elliott and Celina ISD claims Elliott was transferred to the middle school after having an inappropriate relationship with a student while working at Celina High School, WFAA reported.

WFAA reported, citing an arrest warrant affidavit, that Elliott took videos and/or photos of student athletes in locker rooms while he worked at the middle school. The affidavit states that the students were undressing or naked in the locker room while Elliott filmed them on a cellphone.

Celina ISD athletic director Bill Elliott, who is the father of William Caleb Elliott, and Moore Middle School Principal Allison Ginn were placed on leave while the teacher was investigated.

“I understand your anger. I understand your frustration. I get it. It’s horrible,” Bill Elliott said at a school board meeting after his son’s arrest, according to WFAA. He will have to face whatever consequences come his way.

On October 10, a 50-year-old paraprofessional from Celina ISD was arrested and accused of getting into a fight with a man outside school property, WFAA reports. Coates was booked into the Collin County Jail on a charge of injury to a child/elderly/disabled person.

According to WFAA, the school district said Coats later resigned.

On October 3, another Celina ISD teacher, William Caleb Elliott, 26, was arrested on charges of recording the offensive scene, authorities said.

Last Thursday, another Moore Middle School teacher was arrested after she “appeared to be incapacitated” at work, the Celina Police Department said.

Janyah Walder, 40, was taken to the Collin County Jail and booked on a charge of endangering a child.

On Monday, Neil Phillips, world geography teacher and head wrestling coach at Celina High School, was placed on administrative leave after the school district was notified of allegations of inappropriate conduct while he was working in nearby Melissa ISD. CBS Texas Informed.

Celina High School Principal John Burdette said in a letter to parents that Phillips’ employment application denied any prior investigation, being placed on leave with pay, or non-renewal or resignation in lieu of termination.

Burdette said the investigation is ongoing and Phillips has been placed on leave.

Melissa ISD Superintendent Keith Murphy said in a statement Monday CBS TexasStudents reported concerns about Phillips’ conduct in the classroom in March. Phillips resigned shortly after, according to CBS Texas.

Murphy said administrators followed all state laws and guidelines during the investigation and took appropriate action based on the information they had.

When Celina ISD contacted Melissa High School in March, Murphy said administrators provided a truthful and accurate reference for Phillips.

Independent Celina ISD and Melissa ISD have been contacted for comment. Information about legal representation for district employees who were arrested or placed on leave was not immediately clear.
