“ICE officers arrested him on May 16, 2025, and he was placed in immigration proceedings.

“Under the current Administration, ICE is committed to restoring integrity to our nation’s immigration system by holding accountable all individuals who enter the country illegally or overstay their admission,” the statement said.
“This is true no matter what kind of restaurant you own or what your political beliefs are.”
As KHOU 11 reports, Benny’s was also sued by the landlord who owns the property where his Kema Trump Burger is located, who alleged that the restaurant had violated its lease agreement and was owed nearly $40,000.
