Trump announces Sergio Gore as the next US ambassador to India

Washington DC, 23 August: US President Donald Trump declared Sergio Gore on Friday (local time) as a special envoy for the next US Ambassador to India, and South and Central Asian Affairs.

Announcing on Truth Social, Donald Trump said, “I am happy to announce that I am promoting Sergio Gore to become our next United States Ambassador to the Republic of India, and special messengers for South and Central Asian Affairs. White House until my confirmation.”

Addressing Gore as a “great friend”, Trump expressed his confidence in the President’s personnel keeping his contribution to the White House office.

“Sergio is a great friend who has been on my side for many years.
