Trump Administration have significantly increased their financial incentives for migrants To voluntarily leave the United Statesto triple oneself-exile Stipend up to $3,000.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Monday that individuals living in the US without legal status can obtain PaymentIf they agree to depart by the end of the year, they will also be provided with a free flight to their home countries.

dhs secretary Kristi Noem issued a strict warningstating, “Illegal aliens should take advantage of this gift and self-deport because if they don’t, we will find them, we will arrest them, and they will never return.”

The initiative follows the launch of the rebranded CBP Home app, which is designed to streamline the self-deportation process.

Previously known as CBP One, the application was used by the Biden administration to facilitate legal entry into the US. The financial offer comes after DHS reported in May that the average cost of apprehending, detaining and deporting a person without legal status is about $17,000.

US officials have signaled plans to recruit thousands more immigration agents, set up new detention centers and collaborate with private companies to detect people without legal status.

The app then asks users if they want to add others to their “group”. At the end of the prompts, a message pops up saying “someone will reach out to you soon” and the user will receive an email about next steps. The app also promotes a $1,000 “exit bonus.”

But immigration law experts warn that many immigrants are being directed to the app without a full understanding that self-deportation is not risk-free.
