President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are set to debate ahead of the 2024 election.

Earlier this week, Biden proposed two debates with Trump. The former president eagerly accepted the offer, saying he was “ready to mess around.”

The two presidential candidates will face off on June 26 at 9 pm ET when they are hosted by CNN in Atlanta, Georgia.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden said he would not participate in the fall presidential debate sponsored by the non-partisan commission. They chose news organizations to host the debate.

“Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then, he hasn’t come to a debate. Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, buddy. I’ll give it a try.” “I will do it again and again,” Biden said in a short video posted on Twitter earlier this week.

Taking a dig at the former president, Biden said, “So let’s pick dates Donald, I hear you’re free on Wednesday.”

Accepting the challenge, Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social, “I am ready and willing to debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September. I would strongly recommend more than two debates.” And, for excitement purposes, a pretty big venue, even though Biden is afraid of crowds – that’s just because he doesn’t get them. Just let me know when I get there!”

The debates are going to attract a lot of attention as the two have a history of disagreements. During the 2020 debate, both candidates exchanged heated words and resorted to personal attacks. However, both are expected to confine themselves solely to issues like economy, healthcare and foreign policy.
