According to a news report, Sen’s body will be brought back to Tripura on Saturday.

The state government has declared three-day mourning from Friday and ordered the closure of all government offices, schools, colleges and other educational institutions as a mark of respect.

Sen, a four-time MLA from Dharmanagar in North Tripura, had a long political career. He was first elected on a Congress ticket, later joining the Trinamool Congress in June 2016 and then joining the BJP ahead of the 2018 assembly elections.
