Police Search is on for three suspects accused of vandalizing an amusement park new york Boardwalk and theft of 200 stuffed animals.
According to the Westchester County Police Department, the suspects, who have not yet been identified, arrived at Rye’s Playland Beach via a small boat just before midnight on September 23, and then climbed over the fence to get into the Playland amusement park. Said On Thursday.
Authorities said the trio vandalized an electrical room inside the park, “cutting or breaking fiber optic cables for phone and Internet service.”

“This incident is infuriating and heartbreaking,” Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said in a statement. “It’s one thing to be young. It’s another to be destructive.”
“I am outraged and extremely disappointed by the actions of those who entered Playland Park and caused such senseless destruction,” he said.
Jenkins called the alleged crimes “a betrayal of the honor and dignity we expect from members of our community.”
He said, “I know our county police are working hard to identify those responsible, and I urge anyone who recognizes these individuals to come forward.”


Facebook users shared their frustrations with the suspects.
One said, “It’s sad that people destroy things so senselessly. What kind of mentality is this? There is despair in these youth.”
Another wrote: “Literally what’s wrong with people.”
“Hopefully they get caught and prosecuted for this horrible crime, I took my granddaughter there in the summer, she had a great day, it’s disgusting that people are so destructive!!!” a third commented.
Westchester County Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects or their boat to contact detectives.
