Tribal Ministry launched United Nations India-supported Fellowships for youth

An official said that New Delhi, September 22 (IANS) Tribal Affairs Ministry on Monday launched the Adi Youth Fellowship supported by the United Nations India, which said an official to empower tribal youth through the development of structured teaching, mentorship and career.

The program will connect Fellow to National Skilling and Employees Schemes such as PMKVY 4.0, NAPS, and PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, which will ensure the route for long -term career.

They will also benefit from structured mentarships, peer-to-peer learning and exposure to national and international platforms.

The statement said an adi karmayogi Volunteers program was also launched on monday under the adi karmayogi abhiyan, inaugurated by minister narendra Modi on September 17, 2025 as Part Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh (2024–2025).

Adi Karmayogi Valunteers Initiative, supported by UNFPA, will equip tribal youth to act as grassroots catalysts and strengthen the final-mile service distribution in tribal areas.

The statement said that 82 United Nations community volunteers have been deployed as two -month -old engagement in 82 blocks in 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan as Adi Karmayogi volunteers supported by UNFPA.

The campaign said in a statement that the goal of the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan is to attach 11 crore citizens directly to the villages with one lakh tribal-pivotal in 550 districts and center areas.

As part of the initiative, Adi SEVAPARV (17 September – 2 October, 2025) is going on, during which tribal community and government officials will prepare tribal village vision 2030 action schemes to chart local development routes towards allied development.
