New Delhi, Oct 22 (IANS) A Tribal Business Conclave 2025 will be held at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi on November 12 to promote market access for indigenous products and encourage finance and investment for tribal communities. This information was given in an official statement on Wednesday.
The conference will also celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Tribal Pride’ and ‘Vocal for Local’, an official statement said.
The event will be organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
“Based on the Prime Minister’s vision of a self-reliant India and a developed India in 2047, the conference aims to empower tribal entrepreneurs across India, promoting inclusive, innovation-led and sustainable growth,” the statement said.
The event marks a transformational milestone in India’s development journey, where tribal entrepreneurship takes center stage in the national development narrative.
It is strengthened by the active participation of key ministries, MSME, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Textiles, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Food Processing Industry, Agriculture and Rural Development.
Furthermore, it is strengthened by the partnership of state governments, which is playing a vital role in nurturing the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Conclave programs will include “Roots to Rise” pitching sessions for tribal entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to investors, CSR leaders and government institutions for mentorship, funding and incubation.
Further knowledge sessions, masterclasses, a CEO forum focusing on skills and market access will also be organised, the statement said.
An exhibition showcasing over 100 tribal startups and micro enterprises featuring crafts, agri-produce, forest produce and green technologies along with a buyer-seller meet is another highlight of the event.
