Transport Commissioner, Vishal Paul Mahajan, today made a wide visit to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Kashmir at Bemina.
The Commissioner interacted with the citizens waiting in queues, raised awareness about the online and faceless services of the Transport Department. He encouraged them to streamline their transactions and to take advantage of these digital platforms to reduce their transactions in the RTO office.
He directed the Arto headquarters to showcase the signboard and informative materials prominently, highlighting the availability and benefits of online services, so that awareness among the general public can increase. He reiterated the department’s commitment to reduce the footfall in the RTO office by promoting digital access and ensuring ease of service distribution through faceless platforms.
Earlier, the Transport Commissioner inspected the trial ground located in Bemina and monitored the driving test being conducted there. Talking to the youth, he urged them to be careful while driving in addition to strictly following the traffic laws.
He instructed the employees to ensure that those who appear for driving testing are directed properly. He also asked him that the test results should be uploaded online within 24 hours.
