Metro 4 Construction: GMLR
On Tuesday, the Mumbai Traffic Police also announced traffic restrictions on the Bhandup-Sonapur stretch of the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) due to the ongoing work on Mumbai Metro Line 4.
According to a traffic notification issued by Mumbai Police, civic authorities will carry out major work for the Metro-4 line at the GMLR (Bhandup-Sonapur) junction on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg.
Officials will install a 56-metre long steel span for the metro. It will be installed in two phases using cranes, multi-axle trailers and other heavy machinery. Because of this, traffic movement will be restricted in the area during the installation period.
The road will be blocked from 10 pm on 1 November to 10 am on 2 November and from 10 pm to 7 am on 3 November. If the work is not completed on time, the same route will remain closed next weekend on 9th and 10th November.

Vehicles coming from Powai and JVLR towards Mulund via LBS Road will have to take a 2.5 km detour before rejoining LBS Road at Mulund West and vehicles coming from Mulund West will be diverted via Eastern Express Highway (EEH) and can continue their journey via JVLR.
