The scheduled track repair continues to delay in opening an important part of line 2, by throwing a wrench in passengers’ travel plans.
According to TTC, the repair that shut down a stretch of about 5 km of the Bloor-Danforth Line from St. George to Chester stations was scheduled to end at 11 am on Sunday. But by 12:30 pm, the service remained suspended, leaving the disappointed passengers to deal with long lines as they were waiting for shuttle buses.
“Honestly, I just want them to do better. This is a whole city that is hostage for their mismanagement,” a disappointed commuter told Citynues.
Another commuter said, “I was about to go to work, but due to service blockage, I am getting late.” “What I think is happening very regularly.”
While TTC is posting an update about the delay on its social media channel, he has not provided an estimated time to reopen the line.
At the top of the delay opening on line 2, there is no subway service between St. Clair West and Saint Andrew Stations on Sunday due to the work of a planned track. Shuttle buses are also running to boat passengers along the route.
Also, there is no service on the UP Express line which runs between Union Station and Piercen Airport due to construction. Metrolinx says that Go Bus Route 35A will run directly between the corner of the Station Street and York Street next to the Piercene Airport Terminal 1 and the union stations every 30 to 50 minutes. Buses will not make stops regularly at Bloor or Weston stations.
