Faizan Ansari, a tourist who visits the valley, shares his experience. “The people of Kashmir are cooperative and well -worthy, there is no issue … right now, the situation is very good … I want to tell all tourists not to cancel your journey, you should visit Kashmir,” he told ANI.
Another tourist from Mumbai told Annie, “This is a very good place, that’s why Kashmir is called heaven on earth. Everyone should visit this place … The situation here is very safe and people are good … It is like a home away from home.”
Earlier, a tourist from Vadodara Vikram Bhai Vyas of Gujarat told Annie, “I don’t like leaving today. I have a great time here. The hotel people have supported our entire stay. We have no fear, and the locals are welcoming. Tourists are welcoming. There is no such fear.”
Meanwhile, the scene from the Basaron Valley of Pahalgam – the site of the attack – tells a different story. Once with tourists, the region now represents the rare movement, limited to some citizens and patrols security forces.
