Toronto’s new renewal comes under the influence, aims to protect tenants

A new Toronto Buylav Targeted Renewal applies today, requiring landlords before repairing or renewing that forcing tenants to go out.

The city of Toronto says that the new Bilav is designed to protect tenants from “bad beliefs” eviction that is under the guise of renewal.

The city says that the landlords who are looking to obtain rented renovation license should now inform the tenants for their intentions and agree on the temporary living arrangement or compensation of the tenant.

It says that a license requires, even if the tenants have intended to return to their units, the renovation is completed once.

Zamindars have to apply for a license within seven days of informing the abolition of tenancy – which is known as an N13 notice – to the tenant.

The city says that tenants who suspect the landlords are not following new bye -laws, they can report to the city.
