A man from a Toronto has been sentenced to 16 years in jail after smuggling huge amounts of drugs on the Canadian-America border.
32 -year -old Marwin Watson convicted five allegations related to drug trafficking, including the authorities, including the occupation of Cocaine and Crystal Mentalfetamine.
The case returns to March 2023When the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) officials highlighted illegal drugs worth $ 13 million during a secondary inspection at the Ambassador Bridge Crossing in Windsor. According to RCMP, drugs were hidden inside a transport truck.
Watson was accused with his partner, Maria Kiguru, who was also suspected to be involved in criminal activity.
The CBSA said, “Investigators gathered evidence, which caused them to believe that Watson and Kiguru were responsible for more than smuggling in Mentalfetamine.” “During the investigation, the police noticed that Watson arrived at his residence in a moving van. The police stopped the vehicle and arrested Watson, locating 120 kg of cocaine in the van.”
The details revealed in an agreed statement of the facts show that Watson had arranged to take a shipment in the United States for a trucking company. While the truck driver was initially arrested, he was later approved to do the wrongdoing and released after three weeks, once investigators concluded that he was unaware of the hidden contrast.
The authorities eventually discovered the Mathemfetamine packed in two large wooden boxes inside the trailer. Each crate had five black plastic tote, which were filled with the vacuum-seal package of the drug.
