An inquiry at Morpeth’s county hall heard that Mr. Voice attended the shooting in his brother -in -law’s farm on 7 December 2024, then spent the evening with him and two others in the Queen’s head pub in Glandon.
Huga Wood, brother of Mr. Voice widow of Mr. Voice, told the hearing that he had last seen his brother -in -law at around 11.45 am.

The next day Mrs Voice raised the alarm when her husband failed to come home.

Pathologist Dr. Clive Bloxum told the hearing that the cause of death was immersion in water.
He said that there were no signs of external or internal damage and Mr. Voice was “a well -built, muscle man”.
Toxicology tests did not show any indication of drugs “but they had high blood liquor level”, Dr. Bloxum said.
The reading of 215 mg alcohol of blood per 100 ml of blood was detected. The drink drive range is 80 mg.
Dr. Blocksum said, “It is more than two-and-a-half, about three times from that limit,” Dr. Bloxum said.
“Despite the possibility of tolerance to drinking alcohol, this level would expect their coordination and decision to be interrupted.
“You will expect that he is an important degree of intoxication with this level and before making a impaired decision before his death.”
