Today's expected in sexual harassment test of five hockey players

London – A Ontario Judge is ready to give his verdict in the sexual harassment test of five former members of the World Junior Hockey Team of Canada today, the culmination of a complex case that has given air to the conversation on consent and sports culture.

Michael McLeod, Carter Heart, Alex Forton, Dilon Dube and Kallan Fute are not guilty of sexual assault in an encounter in all London, Onts. Hotel room in the early hours of June 19, 2018.

McLeod, who accuses the prosecutors, was the “ringolder” that night, has also requested not to be guilty of being a party for a crime of sexual assault.

The players, who are now between the ages of 25 and 27, were in London for a gala and golf tournament at that time, marking the championship victory.

The court heard that the complainant had sex with McLeod, which he found in the first city bar that night, in his hotel room – an encounter which was not part of the test.

After several other players arrive in the room, the allegations related to the allegations are related to a central issue in the case.

The prosecutors alleged that McLeod accused his friends of a “campaign” to bring their friends into the room to engage in sexual acts with a woman without their knowledge or consent.

The woman voluntarily did not agree to the sexual acts in the room, the Crown argued, and the players did not take appropriate steps to confirm that they had called for additional precautions despite the circumstances.

Raksha argues that the woman actively participated in sexual activity and was sometimes liking men, but later created a false story to protect herself from responsibility.

She argues that she came to court with an agenda and increased her level to support her account and explain discrepancies in that night.

McLeod, Heart and Dube are accused of having oral sex with a woman without their consent, and Dub is also accused of slapping her buttocks, while she was engaged in a sexual act with someone else.

Fourmenton has alleged that a vaginal sex was performed with the complainant in the bathroom without his consent, and is accused of dividing her face and “grazing” his genitals without his consent.

The lawyers of the McLeod, Heart, Fourmeneton and Dube argued that the woman agreed to sexual acts with her customers, while Foot’s lawyer argued that he was fully dressed and not touching them at all while doing partial division on her body.

The court heard that McLod sent a lesson to a team group after 2 pm, asking if someone wants a “three-way” and lists the number of his room. Hart replied that he was “in” according to the screenshot shown in the test.

He also textted another team partner, Taylor Reddyish, stating that if he wanted a “gummer”, he would ask to come into the room, which Readish testified that he had oral sex. McLeod made a similar remarks for another player Boris Catchauk, which stopped briefly from his room, the court heard.

McLeod did not mention any of these interactions for the police in an interview in 2018, instead he said that he told “some people” that he was ordering food and there was a girl in her room, and did not know how “people kept showing”.

The woman was naked and drunk when she did not know that she started coming into the room, she told the court during the testimony of more than a week.

The men felt that they were laughing at her because they discussed sexual activities that they wanted to perform her, she said, and he felt that his mind was “closed” because his body went to “autopylot”.

Two team companions who were called Crown Witness, Brett Hown and Tyler Steinbergen, testified to the woman if the group asked if anyone would have sex with her, as Hart was the only accused player to take a stand in their defense.

When she was placed in cross-execution, the woman said that she could not remember to say such things, but if she did so, she was drunk and one and took the personality of a “porn star” as a sexual system.

The test began in late April and was initially heard by a jury, but Justice Maria Karokia of the superior court discharged the panel twice and finally switching to a judge alone to avoid starting the second time.

Nine witnesses testified, most of them – including the complainant, who testified through CCTV from another room in the courthouse.
