Prashant Kishore had earlier claimed that the CBI questioned Emperor Chaudhary – then known as Rakesh Kumar, son of former minister Shakuni Chaudhary – in the case of Shilpi murder, the then Lalu -Rabri government claimed that the Lalu -Rabri government of that time claimed.
Kishore also cited the affidavit of the Supreme Court to question the discrepancies at Chaudhary’s age and demanded his immediate arrest.
Responding for the first time, Emperor Chaudhary said, “This novice is talking like a child. He is referring to Rakesh, there is an ice cream vendor of Hajipur, not me. My name is nowhere in CBI investigation. It is nothing but an attempt to live in the media.”
The deputy CM attacked Kishore, questioned the Rs 241 crore that the Suraj leader claimed to earn from providing counseling services.
“You get Rs 241 crore.
The emperor also recalled the political hostility of the 1990s, alleging that during the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav, “He (Lalu) and his supporters urinated in my house grains and wells and put 22 members of my family in jail. This Nitish Kumar, then to attack. Chaudhary said.
Earlier in the day, Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jaan Suraj, on Monday launched a spectacular attack on the Bihar government, seeking immediate dismissal and arrest to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary in the 1995 Tarapur murder case.
Addressing a press conference at his camp office at Patliputra Golmber, Kishore alleged that Emperor Chaudhary manipulated his age in official documents for conviction in the case, where seven people of the Kushwaha community were killed.
Kishore produced the documents claiming that the accused was identified as 44/1995, with the date of birth of Shakuni Chaudhary, Rakesh Kumar alias Chandra Maurya alias Samrat Chaudhary, son of Shakuni Chaudhary, along with the date of birth of Shakuni Chaudhary.
This, Kishore said, the court released him as a minor and released from jail at that time.
However, in 2020, Emperor Chaudhary declared his age 51 in an affidavit handed over to the Election Commission, which he would be 26 years old in 1995, not a minor.
“The court acquitted him on a wrong identity and age discrepancy. If the law is the same for everyone, he should be in jail until a competent court issues it,” Kishore urged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan to take immediate action.
He said, “Either dismissed him and arrested him, or left all the killers of the state,” he said, threatened the Governor to lead a delegation when no action was taken within a few days.
Kishore further alleged that Emperor Chaudhary’s name was also revealed in the case of Shilpi-Gautam rape and murder, which was investigated by the CBI.
He said, “Emperor Chaudhary should clarify whether these allegations are true. If he denies them, we will produce more documentary evidence,” he warned.
The two leaders have revived the decades-old Tarapur massacre and Shilpi-Gautam case as a fresh flashpoint in the political environment charged before the 2025 assembly elections in the decades-old Tarapur massacre and the Shilpi-Gautam case.
