Washington, United States:
Washington South Sudani is canceling all visas for passport holders and blocking new arrival, state secretary Marco Rubio said on Saturday, African nation is not accepting its citizens expelled from the United States, complaining.
Rubio said in a statement, “The Foreign Department is taking action to cancel all visas organized by South Sudani passport holders and to prevent admission.”
This was the first solution that was singing all passport holders in a particular country, as Donald Trump returned to the White House on January 20, campaigning on an anti -immigration stage.
Rubio accused the transitional government in Juba of “taking advantage of the United States”, saying that “every country should accept the return of its citizens in a time -bound manner when another country tries to remove them.”
Rubio said Washington “will be ready to review these works when South Sudan is in full cooperation,” Rubio said.
South Sudan is currently a victim of tension among political leaders, one of the world’s newest country and one of the poorest.
Some observers are afraid of renewal of civil war, who killed 400,000 people between 2013 and 2018.
The South Sudani citizens were awarded the “temporary protected position” (TPS) by the Administration of Biden, the anterior to Trump, in which the designation was set on May 3, 2025.
The United States gives TPS, which molds people, against exile, which can safely return home due to war, natural disasters or other “extraordinary” conditions.
In September 2023, the Homeland Security Department said that under the TPS program, about 133 South Sudani in the United States, under the TPS program, had another 140 characters.
But Trump White House has begun to reverse the TPS designations, canceling the protection of more than 600,000 Venezuela in January.
This week, a federal judge, after questioning the government’s claims, ruled that most Venezuela people in the US were criminals.
According to the Pew Research Center, by March 2024, 1.2 million people were eligible for TPS in the United States or making the people of Venezuela the largest group.
The single of the Trump administration out of South Sudan was also attempted to enter the US through its southern border after the increasing number of Africans – an option for risky routes in Europe.
