To reopen 32 airports after temporary closure amidst Indo-Pak tension

Mumbai, May 12: Civil aviation officers have decided to reopen 32 airports which were closed for the flying operations after armed conflict between India and Pakistan last week, official sources said on Monday.

Sources said that a formal announcement about the resumption of operations at these airports is expected to be announced soon.

Civil flight operations from 32 airports in North and Western India including Srinagar and Amritsar were suspended from May 9 to May 15 due to military deadlock between India and Pakistan.

The Authority of Airports in India (AAI), along with other aviation officials, issued a series of notice to Airmen (NOTAMS), announcing the temporary closure of 32 airports in northern and western India for all civil flight operations. (Agencies)
