Ottawa – Statistics Canada is ready to publish new job data for July this morning.
A Reuters Poll of Economists hopes that the economy added 13,500 jobs last month but the unemployment rate went back to seven percent.
The June job report showed unexpected benefits of 83,000 posts.
So far, tariff-sensitive areas such as manufacturing have shed jobs to a large extent, while in some other industries, employers continue to expand their payrolls.
The new employment figures will mark the first major data release for July, which BMO Capital Markets says that it will inform the forecasts whether the signs of economic speed in June have been organized to start the third quarter.
The bank of Canada jobs will be carefully watching the data of the bank of Canada after keeping its benchmark interest rate stable at 2.75 per cent last week for the third consecutive decision last week by the Central Bank.
