TN BJP Slam DMK government to block Ayushman Bharat Rollout

The spokesperson also pointed to preventive and community health measures under the program, including 55 crore hypertension screening, 48 million diabetes checks, cheap dialysis sessions and major surgery that saves families up to Rs 15,000 every Rs 15,000.

Around 1.8 lakh Ayushman Aogya Temple offers free diagnosis, yoga, meditation and fitness sessions to the communities. At the same time, digital integration has combined over four lakh health facilities and more than seven lakh professionals with 72 crore health records.

Prasad said that Prime Minister Modi’s leadership had converted Ayushman India into a global healthcare model, which was quoted by thirukkural verses to describe the compassion and foresight of the plan.

“This is not an insurance business; it is a lifeline for the poor and a model for the world,” he said.

He urged the state health minister to immediately register private hospitals and ensure easy access to the beneficiaries. He said, “Healthcare should not be held hostage for politics. The people of Tamil Nadu deserve Ayushman India in full measure,” he said.
