TN BJP meets EPS in Salem, sparks political curiosity in state politics

Channai, September 21 (YS) in development, who shaken political curiosity, AIADMK General Secretary Edappi. Palaniswami (EPS) held a meeting with Tamil Nadu BJP President Nantar Natharan in Salem.

The discussion of the closed door, which lasted for about an hour, also saw the participation of BJP state in -charge Arvind Menon and Vice President KP Ramalingam.

After the meeting, Nanar Nagentharan addressed the media, reducing the political importance of the conversation.

“It was a purely a courtesy call. I met EPS out of honor. We did not discuss politics,” he clarified.

He strongly denied that Union Home Minister Amit Shah or BJP had a role in the internal affairs of AIADMK.

“The BJP does not interfere in any party’s internal affairs,” he said.

On the question of AIADMK reunion or a possible alliance, Nagantharan commented that “will only tell” time “.

The conversation comes against the background of growing speculation about transferring political equations to Tamil Nadu.

Recently, actor Vijay launched his new political organization Tamilga Vatri Kazgam (TVK), in which he was declared his intention directly on the ruling DMK.

Asked about Vijay’s entry, Nagantharan saw, “Surely there will be a change in the government in Tamil Nadu. But it is too early to say whether Vijay’s party is a direct challenge for the DMK. Just starting a party and attracting the crowd does not immediately translate into a decisive opposition.”

On whether many opposition parties can divide the anti-rise-anti-DMK votes, Nagantharan was alert, he said, “In politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies.”

His statement abandoned the possibility of moving the alliance close to the elections. Underlining the BJP’s plans, Nagentharan announced that it would be on a state-wide political tour starting from Madurai on 11 October.

The party’s internal sources suggest that the campaign will be important in presenting the BJP as a serious contender in the 2026 assembly elections, while water testing for potential recurrence with parties like AIADMK.

Palaniswami’s AIADMK, along with maintaining its independent stance and promising to re -prepare the election map of Vijay’s TVK, has added another layer of conspiracy to Tamil Nadu’s already dynamic political scenario.
