Raipur, 6 October (IANS) surrendered for security forces in Gariband district of Chhattisgarh with a collective reward of three Maoists. There is a major success for anti-Naxal operations in the surrender sector, which has been affected by leftist extremism for a long time.
According to officials, the surrendered Maoists were involved in several violent encounters and were active in the forest areas of Gerbands for many years.
His decision to lay weapons was made with a coordinated attempt which included Gerband Police, Elite E -30 Unit, Special Task Force (STF), Cobra 207 Battalion and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
