Three injured after shooting in Caledon, four in custody: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police says three people are injured and four are in custody Morning shooting in Caladon.

Officers were called to a residence on the finance side road after a report of a gunshot around 5:15 am on Saturday.

Ontario Provincial Police blocked a large area on Highway 9 between Gor Road, Patterson Side Road, Fintile Street and Hamber Station Road, which included “some possible armed people” in response to an incident.

They say that a shelter-in-place advisor was issued and the roads in the surrounding area were temporarily closed. The members of the public were advised to “take action to protect their safety, while the police work to catch individuals.”

Police say several special units including police dogs and crisis negotiaters were deployed.

Officials say they found three people with gun bullet wounds at the residence.

One person suffered serious but non-janiley injuries and two others suffered minor injuries.

A news release from the OPP does not include any details about how people were recovered from the house.

Police say they believe that more suspects are big and an investigation is on.
