Electra Utilities says that more than 3000 customers in Richmond Hill are without electricity.
The outage is affecting around 3112 houses and businesses.
Crew has been sent.
The outage occurs at one time with temperatures in the mid -30s. Richmond Hill is currently under a heat warning that extends until Friday.
Electra says that the approximate time for electricity restoration is between 8 to 10 pm tonight.
