Thousands of new school nursery locations have to be rolled out

Up to 7,000 additional school Nursery By September 2026, the entire England are ready to be made, as Government Reveals a new £ 45 million investment in early years of education.

In October last year, the school was able to bid for a part of £ 15 million to give the initial 300 school-based nursery. It was increased to £ 37 million in April this year to help in the full rollout of the government’s childcare offer for September 2025.

The government said that the first phase built 4,000 school-based nursery places for this school year. Out of 300 funded funded for September 2025, 189 are ready to run up more this month, the government said.

It comes in the same week as the latest part of the government’s funded childcare rollout. By 1 September, the eligible working parents in England are capable of using free childcare for 30 hours a week for children over nine months of age.

Jane Van Zil, CEO of working families said: “Quality, cheap childcare is one of the biggest obstacles to work, so the step is that the participation of the labor market to make it more accessible will also promote the income of the family.

“For parents with school-age children, co-located nursery provisions can make daily logistics more manageable, which makes the real difference in working life.”

Purnima Tanuku, the executive president of the National Day Nurseries Association, welcomed the construction of more elementary education places, but said that school nurseries still offer a small minority from only early years.

He said, “The nursery has worked hard to fulfill the ambitious expansion by September, but due to the pressure of the workforce, we know that about 70% of the nurseries are not working with full capacity because they are carrying four vacancies on an average,” he said.

Earlier this week, the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) warned that the challenges of the workforce should be addressed to ensure the initial years to ensure that employees can be recruited and maintained to meet the demand for full rollout of childcare extension.

While the increase in the number of employees is currently “on track” to meet the government’s estimated goals for childcare expansion, the NFR report warns that it is “not necessarily released”.

In the disadvantaged communities, the teachers of early years will be paid £ 4,500 in an attempt to attract employees for nursery.
