National Conference President and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday criticized some opposition leaders to align with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), calling it a betrayal of the public trust.
According to KNS, Abdullah expressed disappointment over recent political developments and questioned the objectives of those who have joined hands with the ruling party.
Abdullah said, “I have written to all opposition leaders, hopefully they will stand with us and move together.” “But those who have joined BJP, what will they say to us now? I am sorry for them. They are fooling people.”
Referring to the previous decisions, Abdullah said that if leaders like Mukhtar had taken a different stance earlier, the results could have been different. “They should have come to the Congress or National Conference and clearly stated that they do not want any ministry to stop them from coming to power. But they did not.
He said, “Those who have brought them are responsible. They helped him become ruler and God has already made him a ruler. God is ready, he can make him a ruler again.” (KNS)
