Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday asked for a strong action against the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, he said that he would have to pay a price and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would have to clarify that “India is not going to tolerate this type of nonsense”.
Addressing a press conference over the hours of the national capital after the government decided to census a caste census, Gandhi said that PM Modi has to take action and “Dilli-Deli should not be”.
Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, met Shubam Dwivedi’s family in the day, who was killed in the Pahgam terror attack.
Rahul Gandhi said that PM Modi can work within a time limit which he finds necessary, but also said that the Prime Minister will have to work soon.
“I am saying that 28 people have been killed in cold blood. It is very clear that people who are responsible for this, they will have to pay a price. The PM has to take action. The action has to be taken. The action has to be clarified and it should be strong without any confusion. Soon the Act,” Congress leader said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting on Tuesday, which was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Defense Staff Chief General Anil Chauhan and three service heads.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was also present in the meeting.
The meeting was held on 23 April a few days after the cabinet committee meeting on security, in which 26 people were killed after a terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam.
Government sources said that the Prime Minister confirmed that India’s national resolution to give a crushed shock to terrorism.
Sources said that PM Modi expressed full confidence and confidence in the professional capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.
He said that PM Modi said that the Indian Armed Forces have complete operational independence to take the mode, target and time decision of India’s response.
The government has said that the terrorists responsible for the attack and the conspirators behind it will have to face serious punishment.
The government called an all-party meeting after the Pahalgam terror attack. Opposition parties have expressed their full support for any action taken by the government against the paprers of the terrorist attack.
In briefing, CCS was brought out from across the border of the terrorist attack. It was noted that the attack came in view of its stable progress towards successful holding and economic development and development of elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
The government has announced several measures, including sending a strong message to Pakistan for the support of terrorism crossing terrorism, crossing the Indus Water Treaty in Abhay.
Rahul Gandhi also said that the party supports the government’s decision to calculate the caste during the upcoming census, but it should specify a time -line.
He said that Telangana has provided a model for caste census and it can provide a blueprint for practice at the national level.
The Congress leader said that the Congress is demanding a caste census and the government took this decision “suddenly after 11 years”.
“We had said in Parliament that we would do caste census. We also said that we will scrap 50% cap, the artificial wall which is in place. Narendra Modi used to say that there are only four castes. It is not known what happened but suddenly after 11 years, caste census was announced,” Rahul Gandhi said.
“We fully support this, but we want a time -line. We want to know when it will happen. This is the first step. This is the first step. The Telangana has become a model in the caste census and it can become a blueprint. We provide our support to the government in designing the caste census … There are two examples – there is a huge difference between Bihar and Telangana and both.”
Rahul Gandhi said that caste census is the first step, and there is a need to bring a new development paradigm.
