A private funeral has taken place for Thomas Kingston, husband of Lady Gabriella Kingston.
The financier’s sudden death has plunged the royal family into mourning, with around 140 of his friends and family gathering at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace in London.
Buckingham Palace confirmed a reception was held at St James’s Palace following the ceremony.

The Prince of Wales, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra were all present, as well as the families of Gabriella and Mr Kingston.
Lady Gabriella is the king’s distant cousin and is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
The monarch was not in attendance and it is understood the Queen had an engagement ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
