Thomas Frank Tottenham are still looking for the right balance in attack, but felt they had taken “small steps” in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

Spurs were only seconds away from fourth Premier League Home win in 2025 when Mathis tells and richardson Hit it late to put them ahead 2-1.

Wilson raised eyebrows when he included Richarlison at left-back ahead of Odobert after Odobert impressed in the 4-0 win over Copenhagen, while Frank went with a completely different option in Lucas Bergvall after a disappointing display in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Frank has made frequent changes to his starting XI since arriving from Brentford in June, but has largely stuck to a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Nevertheless, Xavi Simmons has been more effective in the number 10 role in recent weeks Radican Creation Despite the long list of absentees the chances for progress remain visible for Tottenham.

Frank reflected, “We’re finding the right balance up front and I think when we look back at the game, I think there were positive things happening down front.”

“We constantly work on relationships and try to improve it with the players and try to figure out what exactly the right mix is, but I think small steps have been taken in the right direction.

(Against United) We wanted two strikers, Kolo Muani and Richarlison, for crosses, we thought that was an area where we could potentially hurt United.

“I think it worked perfectly with the first one (by Brennan Johnson) where Richardson got a big chance, so that could have been an incredible, great game plan for us.

“So that was part of it and we need different personalities and types for different sports.”

Frank immediately improved Tottenham’s form in the league, with impressive early wins over Manchester City, West Ham and Leeds, but a long-standing poor record at home has become more difficult to overcome.

A lack of progressive passers in midfield and cutting edge in attack has hampered Spurs in the N17, but France Under-21 winger Odobert produced his latest eye-catching display on Saturday and made a strong case to become a regular at left back.

Frank said: “Wilson, yes, I think he is positive again.

“I think he’s moving forward and doing things that feel right.”

tottenham captain Christian Romero And Kolo Muani was forced off the field against United, but Frank played down concerns, describing the latter unspecified issue as “nothing major”.

On Romero, Frank said: “He just got better physically. He just came back from that injury. He’s fine.”

United lost Harry Maguire, Casemiro and Benjamin Cesco to injuries during the 2–2 draw.

On Cesco, Ruben Amorim revealed: “We have to check. He has something in his knee. Let’s see.”

Amorim continued: “Harry has to come out, Casemiro has to come out, Ben – then they score two goals again in a short time, but manage to score again, so it’s a point.

“When you can’t win, you don’t lose games, and once again, we managed to do that.”
