The latest survey between 2,000 people across the UK was conducted by OnePol in September.
Sara-Jen Outten, a money-sewing expert at Myvouchercodes, said: “This year is attractive to see such an important jump in Halloween expenses.
“This indicates that people are actually embracing the weather, whether through large parties, wide costumes, or themed decorations. But with the increasing cost across the board, it is more important than ever to spend smart and seek savings wherever possible.”
Some suggestions have been made from MS Outten to keep Halloween cost low:
1. Try to make your own decorations and costumes.
2. Plan ahead and buy non-pending items in bulk or when they are on proposal.
3. Recycle and recycle of last year’s costumes or decorations with a fresh turn.
4. Create a team with friends or neighbors for shared function to divide the cost on food, drinks and entertainment.
