New Delhi, October 7 (IANS) Rakesh Kishore, who placed a shoe inside the Supreme Court on Monday at BR Gavai, Chief Justice (CJI) of India, claimed that the act was not his own, but was inspired by divine intervention.
“I did nothing. It was the Lord who did me,” Kishore told IANS.
Speaking especially to IANS after the incident, Rakesh Kishore said, “Whatever my God did me, I did not work on my own. It was God’s wish. There was a message behind what happened, and I will explain it.”
Referring to a public interest litigation (PIL) listened by CJI Gavai on 16 September, Kishore said he felt deeply hurt how the matter was handled.
“I don’t know who had filed a pil or who was a lawyer. But Khajuraho included the restoration of a 7-foot statue of Lord Vishnu. This statue was provoked during an attack. I cried in front of that temple; I know that any action. I humiliated and saw it as a gross injustice,” said the teenager said.
He also criticized the CJI’s recent remarks that “the country would not run with bulldozers,” saying that it indirectly targets state -led functions.
“We all know where the action of the bulldozer is taking place. I was born in Bareilly and was raised. I have seen people build hotels on illegal land. If CM Yogi does not work against him, who will do?” He said.
Kishore said, “I said this in court, and I would say it again – India will not tolerate insult to Sanatan Dharma.”
Commenting on his suspension, he said, “Under the leadership of Bar Council, Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra, sent me a letter suspending me last night. I can show you a letter. It’s not just an order – this is an autocratic decree.”
He alleged that the fixed process was not followed.
“Under Section 35 of the Advocates Act, 1961, if any action is to be taken, the reason should be issued before the reason, after which the hearing was held before the disciplinary committee. But no one of it happened. They neither called me nor formed a committee. If I challenge it, I would not have anything. Justice would be in favor of their people,” he said.
“If they have decided to ruin my career, it is so,” he said.
