Dense fog and low visibility were seen in the national capital on Tuesday as cold weather continued to grip several cities across the country.
Some train and flight operations were also delayed due to adverse weather conditions and reduced visibility.

Several areas of the national capital, including Munirka, Jampas and Ito, were engulfed in thick fog in the early hours of Tuesday.
The meteorological department said that the minimum temperature in Delhi that day is expected to be around 8 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature may stabilize at around 22 degrees Celsius.
Train and flight operations take a hit
More than 30 trains approaching New Delhi railway station were delayed, including several Rajdhani and Duranto trains.
Other Mail Express or Superfast trains were also present on the delayed trains.
Passengers planning to travel today are advised to use the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) to find out the real-time location of their trains or contact the railway helpline.
Meanwhile, several domestic and international flights were also delayed at Delhi airport.

Air quality index ‘very poor’, likely to drop to ‘severe’
The capital’s air quality index (AQI) remained in the “very poor” category at 328 on Tuesday. Monday’s AQI was 356.
However, the Air Quality Management Board said the air quality index may further deteriorate to the “severe” category, indian express the report said.
The committee said, “As per IMD/IITM’s air quality forecast, the average AQI in Delhi is likely to move into the ‘severe’ category tomorrow… The CAQM Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) sub-committee met today to review the current air quality provided by IMD/IITM Scenarios, forecasts of meteorological conditions and AQI.”
However, CAQM also said that the deterioration in AQI may be short-lived due to improved weather conditions, including the possibility of rain. It noted that the Subcommittee had decided not to initiate GRAP Phase 3 at this stage.
