“Government and parties, I don’t get too involved in this, but there should be a government in Manipur, and as per my knowledge they are making efforts for it,” Bhagwat said while replying to a question by a person during an interaction program in Imphal.
Bhagwat said, “Destruction is a matter of two minutes but construction takes two years… And continuously, during these trials and tribulations, a sustained effort was made not to allow the people of Manipur to scatter on different grounds…. We will definitely take everyone along. Without destroying anything, identity etc., peace will come quickly in material matters, but internal peace will take some time. We know this.” Earlier, addressing a distinguished gathering of dignitaries in Imphal, Bhagwat said that “RSS remains a topic of daily discussion across the country, which is often shaped by perceptions and propaganda”.
Describing the work of the Sangh as ‘unique’, he said, ‘Just as there is no comparison with the ocean, sky and sea, similarly there is no organization in comparison to the RSS.’ He also appreciated Manipur’s strong cultural traditions, including wearing of traditional attire and use of native languages during special occasions, and encouraged them to further strengthen these.
On the current situation in the state, Bhagwat said that efforts are going on at both community and social levels to restore stability.
He said, “Destruction takes minutes, but construction takes years, especially when it is done in an inclusive manner and without harming anyone. Peace building requires patience, collective effort and social discipline.”
