With a heavy heart and deep sorrow, the entire Kashmiri artist fraternity expressed condolences to the tragic demise of mythological folk music Ustad, Ustad Ghulam Nabi Bulbul Saheb – which is a huge figure of our cultural heritage and a unchanging gem in the world of Kashmiri folk music.
A national and state award -winning top grade artist, Bulbul Saheb’s intimate voice, unmatched mastery, and lifelong dedication for the folk traditions of Kashmir made an indelible mark on generations. His music was not just a melody – it was memory, identity and spirit of the people.
This loss is individual. We have lost a mentor, a guide and a true cultural icon, whose heritage will resonate in every note sung by future artists.
