There is a need to arrest “big fish” to curb drug menus in Jammu and Kashmir: Minister Sakina Itu

Srinagar, July 21: Minister Saqina Itu said on Monday that there was a need to arrest “big fish” to control the risk of drug in Jammu and Kashmir to save the future generations.

Talking to reporters, Minister Itu said that drug men’s is a sensitive issue and “We have to save our future generations. To make Kashmir a drug free society, it is the collective responsibility of every stakeholder and community.”

The minister said that only the Health and Police Department cannot control the issue of drug threat. “Large fish need to be caught. Arrest only those who commit crimes at the lower level will not help control the risk of drugs”.

“If we have to eradicate the danger of medicine in Kashmir, then we all should take this responsibility. As long as we all take responsibility, we will not succeed in it. The government and police are doing their work.”

He further said that community and religious clerics should play an important role to help curb this danger.
