Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla congratulated Milton Dick in his election as the Speaker of the Australia’s House of Representatives and said that the world should speak in a voice to stamp all forms of terrorism.
During a telephonic conversation with Dick today, Birla said, “I congratulate you on your election as the President of Australian House of Representatives on behalf of India’s Parliament. Happy my new term.”
On this occasion, Birla thanked Dick for the solidarity of Australia with India on the Pahalgam terror attack. He appreciated India’s support to India in the fight against terrorism. The world should speak in a voice to seal all forms of terrorism, wherever they are present, emphasized Birla during her conversation.
Birla recalled friendship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albani and expressed confidence that India-Australia would deepen during the tenure of bilateral relations Albanis.
Birla said that India is ready to welcome Anthony Albani to the quad and bilateral summit later this year. He also hoped that during the speechship of dick, India and Australia parliamentary cooperation would reach new heights and strengthen relations between the two countries, including multilateral forums.
Earlier, Australian External Affairs Minister Penny on Monday welcomed the understanding between India and Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of de-size and anti-terrorism efforts for regional peace and security.
Wong spoke to Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Pakistani Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to encourage the honor for the ceasefire conditions.
“I know that many Australians are concerned with the recent enmity between India and Pakistan. I have spoken with @drsjaishankar and @Misishaqdar50 to welcome the ceasefire and urge respect for my terms. D-signs and counter-intelligence efforts are important for regional peace and safety.”
