The woman from Mumbai accused the bus of being upset. How the suspect was tracked

Police started an investigation after a woman filed a complaint on 16 April


Mumbai:

Police said on Thursday that a 31-year-old man has been arrested for harassing a woman inside a bus operated by Civic-Nun Bhanambhi Electric Supply and Transport (Best) undertaking.

The incident occurred on April 10 when the bus was on the way to the bus from Prabhadevi to Worli.

The police started an investigation after the woman filed a complaint on 16 April.

He alleged that the accused, identified as Irfan Hussain Sheikh, a Bandra Eastern resident, had improperly touched him.

To track the accused, the police checked the CCTV footage of about 25 places – where the accused boarded the bus, where he was closed and after which route he took away, said the sources.

He also examined the footage of CCTV installed in the bus, where there was an alleged harassment.

He then came to know that he was working in a shipping firm in Worli and arrested him.
