The woman accused in the Oshwa attack tried to steal police gun: DRPS

A 43 -year -old woman has been arrested after a pair of attack in a store in Oshwa.

The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) says the authorities responded to the report of the attack on 7 July around 4:30 pm near Laval Drive and Stevenson Road South.

A woman allegedly attacked a shopkeeper inside the store before the victim managed to escape. On arrival of police, the suspect started attacking another person.

During the arrest, it has been alleged that the suspect tried to grab an officer’s gun, but was quickly subdued. Police say the victims and the suspect did not know each other. Both the victims faced minor injuries.

Oshwa’s 43 -year -old Amy Parsons is facing three cases of attack with a weapon and a peace officer’s attempt to take a gun. He was kept for bail hearing.
