Police are investigating after the corporate offices legal and general was targeted red splashes In central London.
International Headquarters Insurance and Asset Management Group It was covered with red paint and it appeared that several windows had been broken overnight.
The incident follows several reports of similar incidents of vandalism at offices JP Morgan, Invesco and Barclays in town recently.
A Legal & General spokesperson said: “We are aware of the incident at One Coleman Street and are currently working with the City of London Police who are investigating. The safety and well-being of our staff is our top priority”

By Tuesday afternoon, much of the building’s exterior was cordoned off, with staff required to show identification to enter the building while teams worked to clean glass and paint.
Superintendent Jesse Wynne of the City of London Police said: “At approximately 2am on 14 October, the City of London Police were alerted to individuals causing damage to a premises on Coleman Street.

“The suspects broke windows and sprayed red paint on the front of the building. Clear lines of investigation are being explored and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
Although the motive behind the incident is unclear, it follows similar attacks on other offices of financial services providers in London.
Some other incidents saw the words “Drop Elbit” in red, believed to be related to the Israel-based military tech company.

Palestine Action claimed responsibility for the demolition of the Invesco office and similar attacks on 15 Barclays branches last year.
At the time, it was said that the protests were to “demand the divestment of Israel’s arms trade and banks from fossil fuels”.
Separately, there have also been reports of “red vandalism” across the UK in Huddersfield, Bradford, Reading, Edinburgh and other areas of London.
These appear to have targeted residential homes rather than businesses.
