The viral video featured Trinmool leader who sells firearms in Birbam, Bengal.

Kolkata, 23 September (IANS) A video has gone viral where a Trinmool Congress leader was seen openly buying and selling guns and selling cartridges.

Officials said on Monday that there has been a dispute after the video went viral in Bolpur in Birbham district of West Bengal.

Police is investigating the video.

The BJP has criticized the ruling Trinamool Congress government on development, while later kept quiet on the matter.

In the viral video, Dolan Sheikh, a Trinmool leader from Shimulia village in Bolpur, is seen giving a cartridge to a person.

He is known as an influential leader in the region.

Sitting on a motorcycle, he removes the cartridge from a plastic bag and counts them.

Later, he filled the cartridge into a large plastic bag and gave them to a person.

The entire incident occurred in a wide day light.

After this video went viral, the BJP attacked the Trinamool Congress to publicly sell weapons on the streets of the village.

Shyamapada Mondal, the organizational district president of BJP’s Bolpur, hit the Trinmool Congress for the reign of terror in West Bengal ahead of next year’s assembly elections.

“Dolan Sheikh is a Trinmool leader. He is openly buying and selling guns. The Trinumool Congress is a party that works with the people involved in the sand mafia, the stone mafia. Elections are coming, before they are supplying weapons and shells to rape.

After development, Birbham District Superintendent of Police Amandeep Singh said, “The video is being verified. Once it is done, action will be taken again.”

The Trinmool Congress leaders, however, were silent on the issue and did not issue any statement in this regard.
