The White House said on Monday that the United States does not want war with Iran but must respond to an “escalated” drone strike in Jordan that killed three soldiers.
“We are not seeking war with Iran,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters, but added that the attack was “certainly an escalation that requires a response.”
