Washington:
The U.S. military said on Thursday it had destroyed four drones launched by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
U.S. Central Command said on social media site X that the drones “posed an imminent threat to commercial shipping and U.S. Navy ships in the area.”
The U.S. Central Command statement said the drones targeted a coalition ship and a U.S. warship “in self-defense over the Red Sea,” adding that no casualties or damage were reported to U.S. or coalition ships. Report.
