Actress Divya Khosla fueled divorce rumors after she removed her husband Bhushan Kumar’s surname from her Instagram bio. Bhushan Kumar is the managing director of music label and film production company, T-Series. However, a T-Series spokesperson has clarified that Divya Khosla has removed Bhushan Kumar’s surname due to “astrological beliefs”. In a press release, the spokesperson said, “Divya Khosla’s decision to remove her married surname, influenced by astrological beliefs, is a personal choice that should be respected. Adding ‘S’ to her first surname, which symbolizes her astrological affiliation, reflects the same sentiment. It is noteworthy that Divya had earlier written her surname as “Khosla”, which has now been changed to “Khosla”.
Divya Khosla and Bhushan Kumar were married in February 2005. The couple has a son named Ruhaan Kumar. Over the years, Divya Khosla and Bhushan Kumar have worked together on many projects. These projects also include Yaariyaan And Satyamev Jayate 2, They are produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed or acted in by Divya Khosla.
Last year, in an interview with times of IndiaDivya Khosla shared the story of meeting Bhushan Kumar. She told, “I met him at Anil Sharma’s house when he was giving the music of that film. He started messaging and harassing me. Sometimes, I would get four messages before I got in the shower and by the time I came out, there would be four more. He invited us to his sister’s wedding in Delhi. My mother met him and liked him immediately because of his humility and inspired me to marry him. Despite his achievements, his innocence was reflected on his face and I liked it too and agreed to marry him.”
Talking about her husband, Divya Khosla said, “He is a very practical and very hardworking person and I really admire the fact that he dedicated his entire life to pay tribute to his father Is. He is so busy that till date we have never had lunch or dinner together. Sometimes I say to him, ‘Why can’t you take a vacation?’ As a wife, I am very accommodating and want to give her her freedom and let her live her life the way she wants. I don’t like that he doesn’t take me on holidays. I would like him to behave more lovingly towards me.”
