‘The Thing’ actor TK Carter dies at 69 after receiving 911 call

Thomas Kent “TK” Carter, actor known for playing Nauls in the 1982 film “Nauls” cult horror classic matteralready dead. He is 69 years old.

The actor was found dead at his home in Duarte, California, after someone called 911 at 5:42 pm on Friday. TMZ the report said. The cause of death has not been released, but foul play is not suspected.

Carter was born in New York City on December 18, 1956 and grew up in Southern California. He began his screen career in the mid-1970s and has guest-starred in: policewoman and Good times.

He is best remembered as John Carpenter’s work as a roller cook at the troubled Antarctic outpost. That thing, Starring Kurt Russell. The film tells the story of 12 men who encounter a shape-shifting alien hiding in human form in Antarctica.

His other film appearances include like old times (1980), Southern Comfort Inn (1981), detroit doctor (1983), ski patrol (1990), space jam (1996) and my favorite martian (1999).

On television, Carter memorably played Michael “Mike: Fulton,” an elementary school teacher in the NBC series Punk BrewsterIt tells the story of a young girl (played by Soulelle Moon Frye) who is raised by her adoptive parents (played by George Gaines) in Chicago.

He has also played the following roles walton family, the jeffersons, just our luck, 227, Good morning, Miss Bliss (Saved by the Bell: Junior High School Years), family affairs, sinbad show, moesha, the steve harvey show and nanny and daveplus voice acting roles Transformers and Jem.

His last acting credit was as Cliff in the FXX sitcom dave 2023.

On social media, fans and colleagues expressed their condolences over the late actor’s passing.

“So sad to hear about the passing of my comedy brother TK…he was in this industry for over 50 years…I’m so glad we had a laugh the last time we met…RIP TK,” comedian Loni Love shared on X.

“That brother is so funny. As a 90s kid, this makes me really sad,” one fan wrote.

“What a cool guy. I met him when I first moved to LA. Very down to earth,” another shared.

“I can’t really pinpoint one show because I’ve seen him at so many shows,” a third added. “He will be greatly missed.”
