The police bust the immoral smuggling racket in Baramullah; Four arrested

In an important operation, the police said on Monday that an immoral smuggling racket operated in Barzulla Kunjar area of ​​Baramulla district has been successfully busted.

A police spokesman said, “Acting on specific and reliable intelligence, the police conducted a fast and well -coordinated raids, arresting four persons, including a woman, including in immoral smuggling activities.”

The arrested persons are identified by Urtiko Sheikhapora’s son, son of Ahad Vaja, son of Ghulamdin Vaja, son of Mohid Abdullah Vaja, resident of Barzullah Kunjar, Ghulam Raas Utiko, a resident of Gulda and a woman (without name).

A case video FIR No. 37/2025 has been registered under the relevant section 3, 4 and 5 immoral traffic (prevention) Act (PITA) at Police Station Kunjar. Further investigation is underway to identify and destroy any large network associated with this operation.

The police reiterates their commitment to maintain law and order and take strict action against all forms of social evils. Citizens are urged to be vigilant and report any such illegal activities to the nearest police station for quick action.
